I'm a 21 year old film student. I've been deep in an anxious depression over my own mortality and the existence of God/afterlife. I even have such silly behavior as looking up how likely I am to die at my age, or proof of an afterlife (as if man could acquire such knowledge). I'm worrying myself sick. People say take every day as a blessing and live it to the fullest in order to stop fearing death. That sounds exhausting and stressful to live every day as if my death is imminent. Went to my therapist yesterday and it went okay. Scheduled another visit for soon. Just need some words to help me through this terrible time.
Thanks to all

Start planning for present and future - the more excitement you have for the day the more you want to live - build your dreams and keep thinking forward
Hi treyjeff, how tiring it must be to spend each and every waking hour worrying about
your demise. I believe this Pandemic has made everyone more aware of their mortality.
However, as I've learned to believe now because I have my anxiety at bay...is that, worrying yourself sick will not buy you one more day, hour, minute or second of life.
We are on this earth to live and learn. And when the time comes, as it will for all of us,
let us know that we have no regrets. We lived and not just existed. That is the purpose of Life. xx
Hi. I read some 20th century Russian literature in college. It's weird but they were so depressing and I was so depressed at the time that it felt glorious to find someone to relate to. Maybe you are so aware of reality that others can't relate? I would suggest finding something else to focus on that makes you happy.
So sorry you are struggling with this! It is especially hard during the pandemic. My husband and I have been listening to Rick Warren on line and his talks have given us hope and guidance. You might want to check it out! Please hang in there. There is HOPE for a brighter future!
There is life after death I can assure you of that 100% Make your peace with God and have a relationship with Him now while you are young is my advice, we think being religious brings restrictions but really it brings you freedom
