Silly question I’m sure - just wanted to hear from others. Has anyone had a therapy session and just talked about nothing. I didn’t want to talk about me and have sad, angry, frustrated I was so I spent energy just pretending ... I talked but about nothing. Am I the only one who doesn’t really talk in therapy..sometimes I just don’t understand why I try

Hi. No. If you hate talking, try writing down your feelings on paper instead. A notebook is good.

You are not alone with this. I have done this with a previous therapist but then I realised that the reason I wasn’t talking much or not wanting to talk about me was because the therapist wasn’t right for me. Now I’m with one I connect with and knows when I don’t want to talk but that’s when I really need to. Maybe revaluate your therapist? Consider talking to them about it or sending them an email about how you feel? If all else fails, think about finding a new therapist if you can.
