I've been having intrusive thoughts about self harm since more than a month. Sometimes I tell myself I would never do that because I love my life so much but these thoughts feel so real and sometimes I feel like it is gonna happen. I've been on 4 therapy sessions, still more to do but I haven't seen any big of an improvement. While my therapist says these are just thoughts, I must not take them seriously but I can't not take them seriously since they feel so much real. I hope this gets better.

Hello - I am sorry you are experiencing this. I have from time to time as well. The fact that you are posting here and seeing a therapist is a good step. It means you are being active in your recovery. It won't happen overnight, but if you stick with therapy you will get better, even if it is just being able to tolerate your intrusive thoughts
