Thank you for your help. I've been able to explain and talk about my self harming and suicidal thoughts. She helps me, I just feel worn out and sometimes don't know how to get back to feeling myself. Losing interest in the things I like is hard.
Hi thank you. Sorry to hear you've felt like this too.
I've been talking with her for months.
I like watching sports and watching TV. I've lost interest in the things I like at times. I'll watch some of my sports and maybe play video games I used to enjoy playing games.
I do work but I'm off on sick leave at the moment.
I have an xbox 360. Could do with getting the xbox one to play newer games. I liked shooter, adventure and rpg games. Sometimes played online. I have played on xbox a bit in the last few months, but completed game and done most of cheevos.
Glad you get about and are not stuck indoors!
What do you like to watch on tv/on demand or do you stream?
Hey that's cool, maybe you can upgrade to an xbox one at some point soon. Brilliant stuff they games are awesome. I want to try playing those types of games. That's great you sometimes play online, that's nice you've played a bit in the last few months and you've completed the game and done alot of the cheevos. Awesome, well done!!
I watch programmes like 911, FBI, brooklyn 99. Got Netflix sometimes watch things on there. Watched the good place, final space.
I've got family and some friends. Not seen them for a while.
What about you, what do you like watching? Hope you've got family and friends
I def like watching lots of boxsets/shows and films. I like Brooklyn 99 too. And I've watched the good place, was sad at the end! I've just binged through latest season of umbrella academy, i hope and cant wait for the next season!! Currently on first season of true blood, love it!
I have 1 or 2 friends.
I have family but we dont talk. I have some relatives I'm in touch with.
How have you been feeling last few days? Have you spoken to your docs about your taste issue?
Hey sorry about the delay. That's cool you like brooklyn 99 and you enjoyed the good place. Brilliant, I might check that out at some point, I'm glad you're loving true blood.
That's good you have some friends, it's tough you don't talk to your family but it's really good you have some relatives.
I felt bad yesterday but feeling a bit better today. Hope you're doing ok. I've mentioned it to the doctors but they haven't said much about it.
Hi I'm not sure, they ask if I still have my sense of smell. I don't think they know what the problem is. That's great. I've not been doing much, watching some TV and stuff. I'm a bit down though better than the other day. Have a good day
I’m so sorry - it’s so hard some days. Not feeling any sense of joy is brutal...not into gaming but can relate to the overall sadness ... another night comes
I am so sorry that you are feeling so low and that you are harming yourself. How are you doing with your counselor do you think it is helping? There are two phone number that I highly reccomend that you call. They are both free and will help you find the right direction. 1). National Suicide Hotline; 18002738255 and 2) FOTF; 18553825433
Hi thanks. I think it is helping speaking with her though sometimes I just feel really down and at times nothing seems to make me feel better. Thank you, I appreciate your help.
I don't have too much advice, I'm really down myself. I will say to try to stop the self harm tendencies. Practice writing out how you're feeling or maybe doing something with your hands like some project or craft, try not to ruminate about wanting to harm yourself. Sometimes just be still and let those feelings pass.
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing with us, I appreciate that. I know how difficult feelings like depression and anxiety can be. Know that you are not alone. We are here to support you in any way we can.
I think it's really good that you are seeing a counselor. I have found and continue to find counseling to be very helpful. Have you considered seeing a psychiatrist as well?
Have you considered a psychiatrist. I know medication is not for everyone but if therapy alone is not working other options may be considered. I know I need the extra professional help and meds are something I need. Whatever you decide, keep posting and let us know how you’re doing.
Wait...hold up! How long has the not tasting food properly thing been going on?! That is considered one of the tell-tale symptoms of Covid-19, which also can cause depressive symptoms or worsen depression. The loss of appetite might be another sign of Covid. You should probably get tested. Have you lost your sense of taste altogether? I hope the depressive symptoms get better soon, and I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. Is talking to a counselor helping?
Hi I haven't tasted food properly for months and months. There are a few things I can taste properly though not many. It seems to have got worse. I don't eat much chocolate but at times I don't even taste that. I was at the hospital a few months ago for something and they tested me and I didn't have covid 19.
I don't feel hungry. Maybe I should ask to be tested though I don't believe it's covid.
Thank you. It helps a bit talking to her which is good.
