L-theanine and SSRIs interaction?

Hi there,

Due to another debilitiating health condition, I have recently had some moderate depression and have been prescribed Prozac (fluoxetine).

However, I currently take L-theanine which really helps with my sleep.

L-theanine works by predominantly affecting GABA levels in the brain but in some cases it increases serotonin also.

Prozac is works by upping serotonin and I'm concerned about the potential for "serotonin syndrome", whereby too much serotonin is created and has potentially lethal consequences.

I've googled this relentlessly and I just keep getting "no known interactions".

But no known doesn't mean they're non-existant, just they haven't been studied/documented.

Has anyone found any instances of where these were studied for interaction? Or have any anecdotal experiences of using both?

Many thanks!
