Prozac and bizarre dreams.

Hey everyone!

I’ve been taking Prozac for a little over a month now and I’ve been experiencing some bizarre, extremely vivid dreams. They aren’t nightmares or anything they’ll just be so vivid ill wake up and think, “did that actually happen or did I dream that?”

Basically, I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and does it go away or will this be something I’ll just have to put up with while on this medication?

i'm on prozac also but never had any type of dreams. Any dreams I had were before I was on the medication. Not sure if its because i'm trazodone at night for my insomnia and is also an anti depressant.

Interesting!

I’ve always been able to remember my dreams and what not before starting medication it just seems to be kicked into overdrive now lol

I am on sertraline and also have disturbing dreams though not usually nightmares. I guess they are a side effects of meds and they no longer worry me. x

To me they are a good trade off for the benefits I get from meds. x

I had vivid dreams when I was on Lexapro. So did someone else I know who was on this drug. She said it was like going to the movies every night.
