Situational anxiety

Hello all. I am at a horse show which is a huge anxiety trigger for me due to bad experiences in the past. I don’t show until tomorrow, but the anxiety is kicking in already. It’s a low level right now, but tomorrow is going to be hell. Any tips or skills you could offer to help me cope would be appreciated.

First, I admire you for going ahead and doing something good although it is producing a lot of anxiety for you. Moving on like this is always anxiety-producing, but if you take steps to keep doing it becomes easier and easier. Do not push yourself, and do not forget to appreciate and compliment yourself as you move up the steps. Be proud. It is a process. Keep moving and remember to keep the anxiety at a level that you can tolerate and is not overwhelming. You will do it!
