I’ve never had anxiety and/or depression issues. But I am currently recovering from surgery on my Achilles and I’m not dealing very well. I’m 72 and live alone which I can’t do now. I’m very grateful to have children that can take care of me but never having been in this situation before is beginning to wear on me. And since my mental is tied to my physical I feel stuck in place. Not sure what to do.....

I so understand how you feel with losing your independence. I would rather live alone in my car than live by someone else’s rules. How long will you need to recover at your children’s?
I’m ending week 2 and I find out tomorrow if it goes another 4 or 6 weeks. They mean well and I know what an inconvenience it is but it’s really hard not being able to go to the bathroom by yourself. If it goes too much longer I’m considering going home and hiring home health care. My main problem is I have stairs outside my house. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow. Thanks for the support.
