So I haven't posted in about a month or so. My anxiety has calmed down and have been more depressed instead. Sleep is so not my friend right now. If I get an hour of REM sleep in a night it's a miracle. I have just realized, I will be returning to working at the office in 2 weeks, after working from home since mid March. Now my anxiety is kicking up sky high. I don't really want to go back. I will have a new routine I'll have to get used to (Covid procedures), make sure I get up earlier than I have and pray I don't oversleep, get to work on time (I can't afford to be late anymore this year - only get 4 occurrences before it goes against you). I am still dealing with pain from a car accident almost 10 months ago and still trying to get to the root of the pain. I just don't want to deal with all this. I've had no motivation, so my apartment looks like a bomb hit it and I haven't done much laundry either. I'm tired, and am just wanting to not deal with any of it... Especially during this time. I fear telling anyone how I'm feeling in fear they'll just think I'm stupid. It's like I have to justify how I feel. I have a friend who used to be my shoulder now ask me "what now?!" when I tell him I'm not feeling good. I don't know.

A couple of things. I remember when I drove a transit bus for Golden Gate Transit. After my two days off, I would feel the anxiety kick in fearing I had forgotten how to drive that huge bus in just 2 days! What you are feeling is so normal. Get yourself a plug in alarm clock if you don't already have one and an alarm clock that takes batteries. Set them both and put one in an areas where you have to actually get out of your bed to turn it off.
As for sleep? What I've found to work well is ZzzQuil made by Nyquil. It puts me right to sleep. The other thing I always mention is taking a warm Epsom Salts bath with lavender and just before getting into bed, drink a cup of Chamomile Tea. Those two things will realax you. And keep all electronics out of your bedroom. Cell phone and all.
