Here we Go Again 2: Return of the Green Eyed Monster

Ok. I already established that I go around in circles. It's s especially intense around holidays. I feel so angry for the life I've having been given. I envy people for things that they take for granted. Will it ever substantially get better, not just the motions of getting better? I maybe have 20 years left of my life. I can't accept these days of waiting for something better to come along, the string of tomorrows that fail to be. My life is too short.

There are no answers, only complaints. I feel so so sad.

You’re feeling intense because of the Fourth of July? In the next 21/2 days it will be over. People will be back to routines. Nothing special. Over and out. The hype will cease. The holidays were triggers for me to drink. I had to make plans that I would enjoy, but not to include alcohol. Think about what you could enjoy if you can’t do what you’d really like to do. You probably already know what that is. Put your feet in gear and your brain will follow. 🤗

We have what is the "12th of July celebrations"🙄🤫where about a third of the population celebrate an event that happened circa 1690's, but using historical fibs and myths elaborate on it with flags, and noisy bands and the like, [usually alcohol in there somewhere?] whilst these parades hit this province, the remainder of the province have their pre-arranged holidays, usually abroad [a bit of peace and quiet😴] This is commonly termed the "crazy season" an ongoing embarrassment to two thirds of our population!

An embarrassment? Ireland must not party hardy like the US. We’re used to it. Can’t get away from it…..I stay home, draw the shades, eat junk food and binge on tv til it passes. No driving, either, it’s dangerous out there. 🇺🇸😵‍💫🤭

Issy,You're right about how to do the holidays. Overeating is a blast. I wait until the tv or I pass out first.

Oh my, and I heard such good things about the Irish too. I guess making fools of ourselves is part of the scheme of things. 🍻

This IS Northern Ireland, the English are embarrassed by it, even scared of these 'displays', but no July not a time to visit Northern Ireland, me being an Historian cringe at the pure historical inaccuracy of their events, their main event actually happened on the 1st July, not the 12th, and their centre piece was a rampant homosexual [they like to keep that one quiet!🙄🤫😱]

I just looked the holiday up. Sounds treacherous.
