No sleep

Hi, I haven’t been on here for a while I suppose because I have been sleeping well and my anxiety has been ok, I’ve had a lot of problems at work and also family issues, this has triggered my anxiety to come back, so I’m reading the posts on here and trying to figure out how to settle my mind. To some I suppose it’s trivial but I have suffered like this for over 10 years and it is so bad when it comes back, think I need some sleep aid medication before it gets worse

Hi ukpete, In my own experience over the years, I have learned that addressing

the issues at work and with family are important in allowing you to release your

stress. I would never consider anxiety or it's symptoms trivial. Whether physical

or mental effects, they can be handled without getting trapped into taking sleeping

medication.

That doesn't solve what's causing the sleeplessness and only sweeps the real issue

under the carpet. I would suggest talking with a therapist so you can work on how

to accept the problem or at least how to accept in how you react to it.

Also, finding other tools/methods that can help put you into a more relaxed state

so that you can go into a deep REM sleep naturally. I hope you get some help soon. :) xx

Thanks for your reply, I have suffered from anxiety for years now, I thought I could control it but occasionally it beats me and that’s when I can’t sleep, once I get my sleep back to normal the anxiety goes away, it’s gonna be a long day!

Well that's good that when you solve one problem, anxiety goes away.

I can understand that. Hope you get that sleep you so need. Goodnight
