Sleep problems.

Anyone got the same problem as me? A lot of the time I sleep quite well. If I have to be up early. on a morning , such as a morning appointment . Even going for a day out with friends . I find it really difficult to sleep. This means I'm very tired on the day and feel so depressed . I start to worry in case I'm going to be late or sleep in. Yet I know I can't possibly as I set my alarm to go off in good time.. And normally I wake up quite early.. I suppose it's all down to my anxiety. I know its crazy . Now and then the Doctor will will give me about 10 Zopiclone then I am fine. It's something I think about such a lot. Its ruining my life .Some Doctors won't even consider giving Zopiclone. I love days out and meeting friends so it makes me so unhappy. Any advice would be welcome.

Its nice to know people on here understand this problems . Good to know I'm not alone. I wouldn't really tell friends as they don't understand.

I know exactly what you are talking about! I have the same. But I go to sleep and then wake up at 2 or 3 in the morning and worry and be anxious about it. I guess we just have to say to ourselves; who cares?! And deal with sleeplessness because we are afraid we won’t sleep. My dr recommended Melatonin. It certainly helps. Knowing that someone else is not sleeping as well tells you that you are not alone with this. I send you thoughts of calm in your soul💕

I always try to get appointments after 1 also.. Often its not possible. Same meeting friends too. I suppose there are worse problems but it makes life hard

i wake up every night since i started a new med 10 months ago...sometimes its 12am or 3 am etc....sometimes i would even feel the need to slam a beer and crawl back in bed.i have not drank a beer the last 3 nights so thats good.....i used t get about 4-5 hours asleep and the sleep deprivation turned me into a tired/mean person that would snap another persons head off which im the opposite of.......im slowlt getting more sleep but i have decided its gonna be part of my life/i have talked with my doctor but he refuses to change or accept my please///thats why i dont spend hundreds a month and weekly therapy sessions/i lost respect for the entire mental health circus after 7 yrs of therapy/the therapist told me he couldnt help me any further and he dismissed me as a patient/soooo i order all my meds refills and take control of everything i can so as not to depend on another head doctor.....good luck to you////DS//////////////////////////////////////////////

Are you perhaps going through menopause? I am myself and insomnia is definitely a side effect

No I'm well past that age Dkdfree .😟

I smoke weed to sleep - if not, I lie awake for hours and hours, sometimes until sunrise 😱 Some people say it makes them depressed, though, so not saying you should rush to do that. But for me, it helps to reduce my anxiety and depression a lot

Have you tried herbal supplements such as Ashwagandha, melatonin, valerian?? CBD& A bit of THC works as well.

I'm taking Warfarin for AF . I think it might interfere with it. It is very expensive too. I suppose you only use a small amount.

in reply tobenmaise

Yes, I use 2 to 4 drops a day
