Can't sleep. What else is new?

β€’8 Replies

That's our baby, she usually helps me 😊

I'm having a particularly difficult time sleeping tonight. Usually my meds knock me out but, not tonight. I swear what I take would knock an elephant out but, here I am.

My anxiety has me heightened. This new provider crap has me just well, anxious. I dislike change and this is a big one. Why did my previous provider retire?! Damn her, lol.

For real though, I'm swimming in stress and my body's feeling it now which is disturbing because I know what's next, fibromyalgia inflammation and headaches.

Anyone have any good suggestions to help me sleep? I suppose I should get off my phone idk. Thanks for reading.

Hi Swilly

I wish I could help but sleep doesn't come easy for me either.

Maybe some calming music or nature sounds?

I'm sorry to read that this progresses into pain and headaches :(

Your baby is beautiful! Curl up on the couch together

Thank you for your kind words! I love calming music, more specifically binaural beats. It's been a new thing I've been into. It's soothing.

I did end up getting a little sleep. I hope enough sleep so as not to trigger my body rebelling against me.

My baby does help.😻 Sometimes I wonder if animals know when were in distress.

Thank you again Dolphin14 , you're kind.

I hope you are doing ok

I love binaural beats. It took me a bit to get used to it.

I do believe our babies can read us. I'm so glad your beautiful soothes you.

Hang in there Swilly. :)

Thank you so much πŸ™ I fell asleep eventually. Binaural beats are really resourceful to me. I listened to some for anxiety when I was having a panic attack and, it helped immensely.

Our furry babies may just know that we're in distress and then, help πŸ’›

How are you? ✨️✨️✨️✨️

I'm doing well. Thank you for asking. I'm in a chill mode today. Reading a book and enjoying good weather

Sounds lovely! πŸ™‚ ✨️

For me, adding time-release melatonin usually helps.

I always listen to an audiobook in bed. It's like being read to sleep. 🧸 😴

Hint: Stay away from horror. Apparently you take in ideas while you sleep. I woke up screaming listening to Mr. Mercedes.

I do take a melatonin but, time released would be more helpful I bet!

I never thought of an audio book but that's a damn good idea bc I do get sleepy listening to them during the day lol

And I lol'd about waking like that!

I love horror movies but yeah, nighttime that would be a no no. I hadn't heard of Mr. Mercedes til you just brought it up and it looks like something I'd like! So, thank you. 😊

Gonna order some time released melatonin. Does it make you lag the next day? I probably shouldn't care if it makes me sleep but I dislike being sleepy the next day. 😴

Thank you nbb, you're helpful πŸ™
