Hello Great people! I’ve just been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and panic disorder. And it’s affecting my daily functioning and I can’t focus , I’m scared, worrying about unnecessary things.
Is it curable? Any help to survive this situation , perhaps things I could do to help me straighten up. Thank you!

Thank you so much for responding. The doc didn’t tell me any suggestions, but he gave me some medication which I’m scared of taking , I think my anxiety is telling not to take it. I have tried calming down , talking to love ones . It’s not helping me at all. I’m dealing with this alone because I’ve told no one and now I’m planning on going to the gym and get memberships perhaps it should help me a little. And please give me any suggestions that would help me. Thank you !
Perhaps you should check out some videos that will educate you on the subject? Education is power.
I use a meditation app called Insight Timer. There is a lot of education on there as well as meditation
I'm on medication as well. I didn't want to take it either but my quality of life was being affected. I've weaned off some meds so just keep in mind they don't always have to be for a life time.
Hobbies? Keeping yourself busy gives your mind something to focus on,
Then there are the basics, eat well, get your rest. Take down time to regroup
I'm sure there will be others along to help you more
There is a web page anxietycentre.com. May help you not be worried about your symptoms. If you use the drop down menu at the top of the page you will see a list of symptoms that you will be amazed at. It helps me not get paranoid about how l was feeling. Hope this helps. Also get a book (cheap on EBay). Dr Claire Weekes “Help for your Nerves.” I am not normally into books, but this is something else. She changed the medical profession regarding mental health and suffered panic attacks from her childhood. Best of luck.
Welcome to the group. Know you are not alone in your feelings. Talking does help. You do have to try different things to see what works for you as what works for one may not work for another. I have been there many times and still have those days. Take small steps, one day at a time. You can do this.
hello nice to meet you. I can’t say whether it is curable or not but there are treatments out there and certain types of therapy that considerably decrease the symptoms of anxiety and panic disorder. You’re not alone.
Agora, haven't been on the site for awhile, but I see you still giving your advice, thanks for helping us all. But I was feeling like staying off the site was helping me heal due to the fact reading about anxiety and depression all the time only add to the chaos. So from time to time I come on the site just to help out
