I struggle with depression daily and have for years. I’m tired of suffering in silence, I have plenty of friends but am afraid of telling them about my condition. I feel like they won’t understand and might judge me. Am looking for people to discuss my condition with who won’t judge me

It's perfectly okaty. i had the same problem, but once you feel like they are true friends and you finally tell them. They will understand and will be there to support you no matter what. Overall you'll feel a bit better and have people there for you.

I am sorry you are struggling with depression. I am glad you felt comfortable to share here. You are not alone, we all understand the struggles with depression. Are you getting the right help for your depression? It is important to educate people about depression and not try to go it on your own. I know for me being alone only makes my depression worse. Real friends will be open to learning about what your struggle with and go through. Most people who don't struggle with sever depression don't realize it is a chemical imbalance in our brains and something we cannot control. Here is an article ( bit.ly/3faXty2 ) that you might find helpful to share. I will be praying you are able to share with your friends and believe that those who are your true friends will be there for you and want to support you. You have friends here too who can understand. Please continue to reach out and share. Hugs and God Bless

I have suffered with depression since a child, now 58. All my colleagues know about my depression and that i have vbeen hospitalised. It has actually help me as when i am having a bad day i withdraw so they realise its not them . Some check i am ok if i am quiet plus talking to them helps them understand and you know what i also found out that a lot of my colleagues were on antidepressants or beater blockers. Give it a try you might be surprised. I have no friends to talk which is why maybe i have shared things with them. I started with my manager first. Good luck 😁
