Hi try to see a doctor, they can diagnose if needed, racy thoughts sounds alot like anxiety , suffer from social, performance anxiety no scary thoughts but a lot of fear of certain situations.
If you like reading I am going to recommend a very good book "Feeling Good"by David Burns.It is recommended by my doctor.You analyze your thoughts and cope with them learning the strategies from the book.It is a self help book which everybody should read.
Yes , its depression and anxiety, it seem as though you cant control your own thoughts, need to see a doctor and therapist, you are okay its a chemical imbalance in the brain, i went through the same thing. Just learning how to control after 2years. I got my meds from my doctor, it was two pills one for anxiety, and the other one for depression, it calms the mind down and helps you to relax. Then the other pill helps with the mind wondering, it will start to slow down. Please go to the doctor dont wait any longer. Drink plenty of water and stay away from sodas caffeine makes it worse.
