Hello Mia
Bad luck, whatever caused the water damage, it is what it is and sad to say you now need to move on. The next time you will learn from your errors and you will move on. However I do feel your Parents should have given you some support and understanding of your loss.
Consider and try and do something that will lift your mood and move on. We all make errors in life, That is all down to a learning period. If there was no errors, We would never learn. Your replacement art will look that much better so bite your lip, dust yourself off and consider what would like on your walls at your new home
It will not as I cared for a person got a horse drawing as a thank you these drawings cannot be replaced. But I do need to move on .. Maybe they need to live in the spare room with door closed to prevent next time??
So sorry Mia that they cannot be redone, remember old memories sometimes are more intense as we get older, In the spare room will give you the chance to view them over the decades.
When I was a child we visited a seaside resort, I saw an Ebony carving of a bear and I purchased it, that now has followed me around for sixty years, it is looking shabby looking now. However it is still displayed facing me in the Living Room on a shelf full of various other memories. Hazel put it there when we moved here so I could see it.
