I feel I can’t talk to my partner or family as they think I’m being over the top (or a hypochondriac) but lately I just feel dizzy, sick, my neck feels swollen and tight, my eyes some days feel so heavy, I feel like I have pressure in my ears, my breathing becomes off my chest becomes tight, then for a few hours I’ll feel fine and it’s back again, does anyone else feel this way? I tell myself it’s anxiety of this whole virus that has me worked up but Iv had frequent panic attacks so that doesn’t help either, I don’t want to get into habit of thinking their is always something wrong with me so I try and tell myself it’s just anxiety.. (I have 3 young boys to look after so I try push on best I can so they don’t notice) can anybody relate? ..

Can anyone relate?

I struggled with odd medical symptoms for a while before finding out it was the house I was living in. In had an incredibly high level of toxic mold. YOU know your body. If something feels "off" it probably is. I don't know your situation with this pandemic, but have you been spending more time indoors? I would take a notebook out and start jotting down things, like symptoms with the date and time you are feeling them. And then start trying things and record if they help, did nothing, or made you feel worse. I personally ended up very sick from mold and biotoxin exposure. And for me, eating anything with added sugars -makes me feel much worse. (I noticed this THEN found out there was a medical reason for it.). I would REALLY encourage you to go outside and spend at least 10 mins out there and see if it helps your symptoms at all. Or have the air quality in your house checked. We often overlook things like the air we breathe. And ask your doctor to do a physical and run routine blood work. CBC and check your electrolyte levels. Your A1C levels. And I'm sure they take blood pressure and body weight etc. How long have you been feeling this way? And did anything change around that time? If you keep a journal/notebook and take THAT into your doctor, they will take it more seriously. I have been through a lot of health issues and I know there are some things that WILL help, regardless of your current health. 1) drink more water throughout the day. Don't drink 8 glasses 1 day and only 3 the next, but start increasing water slowly so the habit will stick. 2) get fresh air throughout the day. It is better to go out 3 times for 10 mins a day then to go out once a day for 30 mins. 3) start looking at labels and cut back on added sugars. Sugar is in Everything! It is hard to cut it out entirely, but write down how much you eat Ina typical week and start cutting back. Hope this helps. Good luck and keep us updated.
Hi Chuupachuu,
How did you find out that your symptoms were triggered by mold?
I have suspected the mold around my house is bad for me for a long time, but I wonder how to find out, and what to do about it.
Wonderful suggestions. Thank you.
There are some doctors who specialize in it. Go to. survivingmold.com. There are a lot of resources there. There is a urine test you can do. That was how I found out about having a toxic level of Ochratoxin A in my body, but it doesn't test for everything. If you want to take the test , you can order it through Real Time Labs, or through LabCorp it is called a myocotoxin test. Or through great plains laboratory. It depends on where you live. The one from LabCorp is the easiest to do. But check out surviving mold.com.
Ah thankyou! Are you in the Uk? Does it make a difference which country your in if you can get tested?
I stand by what chuupachuu wrote, it might be something medical after all. Just write everything down. My friend had panic attacks and said she couldn't breath, she checked, she had some high blood tension and some digestive problems that when started made her feel out of breath. And we all think it was in her head. It wasn't. After switching to a multitude of doctors, she found her treatment and now she's ok.
Aw thankyou for the advice, I’ll see how I Get on and start noting a journal, since the weathers been nice I been in garden a lot with kids but still notice it then I think is it anxiety causing it or am I getting anxious over the way I’m feeling, I might have to get in touch with doctors and keep note of what’s happening and when not there alll the time just when I think about it, I get the odd bit of mould but I clean it and there’s 5 of us here so not sure if that would be effecting me I just always put it down to anxiety I’ll see how I go thankyou x
