I’m really depressed and feel like I’m going nowhere with this quarantine. What should I do to feel like I’m progressing?

Depressed
One thing that helps me a lot is just consuming a lot of good info and stories about mental health and therapy stuff, like just having self help books, podcasts, support group things, just consume a lot of this and smart things start to percolate into your brain and you just start to think like doctors and therapists do and intuitively know more things. Also come onto sites like this once a day at least, I find that empathizing kills my self-pity and loneliness pretty quick. Hope it helps, stay safe.
Hi amyjadewinehouse I guess one thing
that seems to help me take a look at some YouTube videos they can be of both professionals and patients how to cope with anxiety and depression.
Also is the realization that God knows us and loves us. And we may feel alone but know He loves us and was willing to die for us. May I suggest a YouTube channel by EmmaMae Jenkins who truly loves God and people. She exudes love for
people.
Have a lovely day and realize you are much loved by God.
Bye
This is such a difficult time for many of us. Try to remain positive and keep connected to friends and family via Skype or phone. You might get some good ideas here bit.ly/3b8SHys about how to deal with this virus and the anxiety is causing people. Hang in there you really are not alone.
I'm a visual person, so seeing my accomplishments helps. I enter things into my phone. I have a habit tracker to track what I do. You can write on post its things that you've accomplished. When you take note of the things you get done, you see the progress and "small" steps that you've taken each day. And if you really haven't already, find something that inspires you and try it out. Maybe you'll be able to grow and learn something new. All the best!
I hear you. Times are hard for everyone right now. Maybe try to find a hobby (baking, dancing, painting, etc) or Learn a new skill? Like a new language?I find that this is the time to improve ourselves.
