Hi there, thank you for feeling safe enough to post about your feelings. Please know that you are not alone. I just got back from doing a little shopping, and we are all scared to get this virus as there are still so many unknowns. I'm sorry to hear that your father recently passed. From the virus, your father's death, and generally feeling not well, I can see why you would be feeling overwhelmed and having panic attacks. I would urge you to try to describe your situation in a different way, to try to create some hope that you won't "always" feel the way that you do. Are there brief moments when you feeling nothing, okay, or even good? If so, remember that. For example, did posting here provide some relief? Here are some things that help me (and others, from what I've seen from other posts and replies to posts): deep breaths; soothing music; journaling; reaching out to someone (even here). I worked through this book a couple of times: drjohnforsyth.com/the-mindf... (I'd make copies of the exercises that I thought were most helpful to me so I could use the book again). I also recommend this book for trying to retrain your thinking: You Are What You Think by David Stoop. I hope you have some peace today.

So sorry to hear of the grief and panic that you are feeling..I would encourage you to read putting an x through anxiety or listen to this free podcast here player.fm/series/passion-ci....

I hope that this will help you.

I also encourage you to visit your PCP or contact a licensed counselor. They will likely be able to help you with some of the symptoms as well. Hope that this helps!
