Hi, that’s easy - sound mental health, it’s priceless.

You?

I’m undecided

Really? May I ask why? Do you maybe think your mental health problems are related to money?

I would give my left arm to never feel depressed again. Can I have the money and the happiness?? Lol

I think it’s probably a matter of having no hope in being able to maintain the sound mental health. I could suffer through it, like I have been, and be rich.

Or

I could be blissful and still stuck in exactly the same circumstances.

I just feel I could change some things in my life if I wasn’t depressed like, getting a job and having a better quality of life. Depression is torture, I can’t even move half the time. Money’s no good to me if I’m living like that.

To be honest both are just as important, if you are depressed it is always best you can feed yourself and purchase any thing you need including possible treatments.

If you are hard up it will just make you more miserable, if you cannot keep yourself

That’s a good point....I’d still rather manage my life with no depression, it’s destroying me.

I was medically retired in 01/88 I was suffering a disability and associated Reactive Depression, I never worked again.

I was lucky I had someone who understand me as my memory later became worse.

Over the years I did do NHS and Mental Health Charity Work and that kept me going.

You need to be in a position where you can manage to supply your own needs and expectations. It is important you can develop ways of living with both problems It should be possible to manage your life and have assistance to do so eventually.if required,

Money is very nice however if you are comfortably off that is all that matters and you can do what you need to do, sometimes to strive can make people Depressed

I totally understand that but the question was, if you had to pick one, which one would you pick?

Of course I’d like both but given a choice, I would choose my mental health. I’m 45 and I could still work and have a normal life if it wasn’t for this horrible horrible condition.

The problem is, life is not like that, I wish it was.

Consider how would you get on without money, how would you control or fail to control your illness.

If you were stuck on Pip how would you provide for yourself, and Visa Versa.

I have had most of my mid years having this problem and to be honest there is no real answer. I would love to be a Millionare it will never happen Of course we could all win the Lottery. Would still be depressed if that happened

Exactly....I’d love to have money and have access to better care but yeah, it’s not gonna happen and I worry getting better isn’t gonna happen either but we keep going.

If you have sound mental health then the world is your oyster and you can make your own fortune.

B.

Over the years I have met people with Mental Health concerns, especially with Depression and stress can and do manage their own way in life very well, Some people out there that are suffering are very well paid. So it does not fully mean Mental Health concerns need to affect life choice and wage, it all depends on the person and their capabilities

I'm going with fortune. I think with limitless fortune I could help fund much needed further studies and find cures for all the numerous mental health disorders.

Or I could give money to all those that need mental health care so they can get the help they need.

This of course is that my mental health is sound enough to be responsible with money, but I can also hire those that are. So I see limitless options really with going with the fortune route. 🤔😁

Please give me my sanity. Money can't by pure happiness at least for me it can't. I have always said once I buy all that I want, which is not much, then what? I definitely agree with Irishinthebay, sound mental health is priceless.

Sound mental health.

Sound mental health for sure!

We get a course of CBT and learn techniques from that.

To learn what has caused your condition can help you come to terms with your situation.

We need to try and move on, it is all hard work, however it can be done
