I've always admired the people who lived through WW II , especially the leaders who saw us through....Churchill ,Roosevelt , Montgomery . Eisenhower , The King and Queen of England , those in the armed forces , so many more. I keep them in mind as we fight our own version of war with an unseen enemy. Those people of that generation set a standard for us to emulate . We can 't let them or ourselves down . We are made of sterner stuff than that. Most of us on UH are used to fighting our way through fear and anxiety so to us this is more of the same . We know together we can do it . Good luck to us. Pam

Winston C was great for slogans as well as inspiring people.
Perhaps the
"Never in the course of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."
Is Quite fitting again.
Regarding the NHS staff all of them. And the private Hospitals as Well. That I am sure are doing their bit.x

You are exactly right ! We in America can say the same thing about our healthcare workers and others who are risking their lives for the greater good..There are people all around the world who are simply amazing. Churchill would once again be proud of his countrymen .
Hello Pam
Roosevelt a very forward thinking Man of the moment such a shame he never got to see the results of some of his brave decisions. I used to work in Engineering and own a micrometer that is tribute to Roosevelt had American markings removed from it as it was one of the side exports that came to Britain in the early war a result of Roosevelt Winston relationships and Eisenhower what broad shoulders that man had to carry such a load.
Biggest single responsibility any man through history ever Carried.
What do you call your health services then ❓❓
We called it "the Spirit of the Blitz" and it saw us through. Everybody was a neighbour, a sister or a brother, even a stranger on a bus, we couldn't do enough for each other.
