Hi everyone sorry to inflict my problems on you all
I have severe health anxiety like huge hypochondriac
I've had a sore throat and cough for the last 2 days from my daughter and granddaughter who also had it but I've been coughing and having really thick dark green phlegm (sorry for the tmi) I know that's normally a symptom of a chest infection. But I coughed earlier and I had a small trace of red blood in it .....now I'm absolutely beside myself thinking if got lung cancer or something I know its ridiculous but ice never coughed up with a trace of blood in it..is it possible I coughed too hard has anyone else experience this before I'm so worried its ridiculous I know but it's so overwhelming I've never had it before...I've coughed since and it not happened since (touch wood) but I have sores on the roof of my mouth I wonder if its come from the shores instead of my throat
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
Nat

Hiya nat ....I always get this when I get chest infection sometimes had clots too dr always says it the strain through coughing but maybe get a chest X-ray to put your mind at ease.. hope you feel better soon
Hi - before I even finished reading your post I thought to myself def coughed too hard just like when some people blow their nose too hard too. Lots of coughs and colds doing the rounds this time of year. Keep an eye on it naturally but I’m sure it’s nothing to even think anymore about ! Wish you well
Yuk .. head colds are horrible.. but at least you can say , you know what it is 😉
Yep I’m ok , off to see someone this morning to see if I can get some insight and understanding into how to deal with my estranged teenage daughter 😔I miss her lots .
It could come from tour throat, gum or maybe a small blood vessel from your nose that you swallowed or even from the lung , amygdala, but take an x-ray and calm down nothing to worry that much okay?
I will have to have a surgery next month ( diverticulitis)
So far I'm calm but more worried to have the recovery time too long and losing work but I'm also hypochondriac and trying to not think abou the surgery itself and focusing on my healing process
So My tip is always avoid google Searching symptoms because it could trigger lots of problems sometimes more than the issue you really have lolz
Dr google is naughty I’ve stopped using it as it makes me 100 times worse.. my mum had diverticulitis I remember her being in constant pain I do feel you though it’s the build up to surgery ain’t it my mind did overtime when I had a cyst removed so know what you mean
Diverticulitis causes really sharp pain but I ll be alright just need to fix the problem lol
Take care , stay positive and check your lungs lol
Don’t think you have Cancer or something bad. I’m sure it’s just an infection. Yes people think it’s something horrible but, mostly likely not. I do the same thing, but I trying my hardest not to think that way. Go see the dr. Take care❤️
