Physical symptoms

Just trying to get a better understanding of what is related to anxiety as I’m new to having it this severe and scared all the time. I get arm pain in both my arms almost like a warm sensation and then they feel like they’re cramping, one last night felt like I had gotten a shot in the arm and it was sore but I didn’t do any physical activity to make that possible. I also feel chest pressure frequently and have to take big deep breaths as I feel like I’m not breathing right. On top of bad stomach pain and nausea. I’ve been to the doctor for the chest pain and had an X-ray, ekg, bloodwork Done and that came back clear. Can this really be all anxiety? If anyone can relate to these symptoms please reply because I am so frustrated feeling like this all the time. Thank you

Thousands of dollars in er bills and I can totally relate to these symptoms. I could add a few more. Try not to concentrate on breathing too much and let your lungs just do their job. When your body lacks oxygen you cramp. When you cramp you get anxious. When you get anxious your nerves get bad... hello nausea. Dang domino effect.

Thanks for your reply, I just feel so alone like I’m the only one who feels these things and that they’re not right

You are not alone at all. Many of us can “copy and paste” your symptoms and they will apply to ours.

It's good that you saw your doctor and had several tests/scans to ensure the symptoms you describe are not physical illness.

All the symptoms you mention are well known symptoms of anxiety: the arm and chest pain being caused by muscular tension as a result of nervous sensitisation. The pain in the chest has been described as "the horse's hoof in the chest." Likewise your stomach pain and nausea as it has been written that the stomach is the organ most sympathetic to anxiety disorder.

So I think you can believe with confidence that the symptoms you mention are caused by sensitisation of your nervous system. Just don't make the mistake of thinking the medical professionals "missed something": they didn't so accept their reassurance without question.

With anxiety I feel that my heart beats very fast, nausea and a permanent knot in the stomach.

When I had panic attacks I had medical studies and they had given me, until a doctor recommended me to go to a psychologist.

Almost 2 years of treatment now, and months ago without panic attacks, when I am prone to depression and have generalized anxiety

I have some of these same symptoms! Oh my gosh the surges I get in my arms is the worst, cold, electrical feeling! And the nausea is so bad sometimes. Just in the last month I have lost 5 lbs. I feel your pain! Have you ever listened to Claire Weekes on YouTube? She is really good!
