We will either stay mired where we are or we will make the effort to move forward. Where I am now mentally .

is horrible , but if I don't want to stay here I have to make an effort. It is like moving a ton of weight, I only go one little bit at a time. Pam

I thought you were happy when you moved, although the flat was smaller ?

Do you feel you are running away from something, if so you need to consider where you will go and that is not just a gut reaction ?.

It's a reaction to my nightmare which I can't stop thinking about. The fear is over whelming and stays with me. It's been a week.

Try the Sedona course it helps you let go for these things, I use it when I have a problem that keeps repeating in my mind ! xx

If you are not happy yes take the bull by the horns and move some where is more suitable for you live. I understand how you must feel as I suffered in my earlier address. It took time for us to find somewhere suitable, although, eventually you will be rewarded and be able to relax

Your Nightmare ??

Pam fear and the thought of going crazy is classic anxiety symptoms. Your mind is just playing tricks on you. I know it’s a horrible experience but it will slowly improve and pass. Hang in there

Thank you for responding. It helps to have an explanation Pam.

I’ve been in it for 4 months now and it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever encountered. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to be ok with the depressive feelings.

I talked to a therapist two days ago and it hasn't helped much. I know it takes time, but it's so uncomfortable . Do you see anyone or have any resources ?

in reply to sweetiepye

Sorry, nightmares can really mix us up sometimes.

Is your Husband still with you could you not talk out the fear with him at the time ?

There are many people very unsettled at this time, I would hate anything like that at this time, It may be down to you reducing your medications ??

My husband does talk to me and listens to me talk about my nightmare. Thank goodness he does . I just wonder if they scare anyone else for days after. It was a week ago and I'm haunted by it. Still feel scared most of the time. Pami

The best way is to rationalize the Nightmare and talk the fear out. It is not that common a nightmare comes out true it is generally something you have been thinking about and that can be connected by broken sleep and re=entering sleep at a certain level, Anxiety can affect the sleep if you have been watching television that unsettled you or a mix up of disturbing things or problems that have been with you through your daylight hours, the Nightmare can also be caused by eating to late or even our medications can cause problems especially sleeping pills or changes in your medications

Are you in most cases happy where you are or is it something wrong with the area you are living in. Sometimes the brain can mix up situations you have gone through recently and mixes everything up. What did your Therapist suggest, any coping techniques

The world is frightening at this time, I am in lock down because of my immune system. I have problems when I am trying to relate to various problems during the day my short term memory I think seems to act up and I can have a disturbed night as my brain mixes things up

I am going to try to talk through this more because all I do is think about it anyway. I have an idea I might still have requip in my system even though I finished withdrawing from it 3 weeks ago. The crisis we are having in the world also makes me anxious. It's hard for so many of us. Pam

Good Morning Pam

How did you sleep last night.

I have problems with my Spine and neck, I am very woozy during the day and when I am in bed I have sleep problems, so I need to consider ways of lying in bed. If Hazel moves the bed when making it she can change my sleeping position, even these special pillows that have varying softness and hardness, if the pillow has been reversed the firmness changes as does the support, that can also cause problems when the head and neck looses support, or if gains to much support

Sometimes raising your legs up a little can also help or using a bolster to keep you positioned in your right position, just a thought

I'm going to experiment , I think that's a good idea . I sleep much better than I used to, about 5 hrs. last night. I dream of being attacked by vicious dogs and shot at by shadowy figures . Pure terror. Pam

Hello Pam,

Yes try and experiment with your sleeping condition and keep any television programs lighter in content. You fears will hopefully disappear given time it is just you are a sensitized by these fears.

I really feel for you Nightmares can be very vivid, and it is that you need to be able to come to terms with so you can move on
