Hi,

How is everyone managing the anxiety of COVID-19. I am very scared that I will be out of school for a long time and won’t be able to graduate. I am in high school and repeated my junior year. I’m so scared this is my second year I need to graduate. Any advice on how to stay sane and connect with others? My friends aren’t reaching out so if anyone here would want to talk with me I am 18 please reach out I feel lonely.

As far as ideas for connecting, use texting, Skype, emailing and just picking up the phone to contact your friends and family. Don’t wait for others to reach out to you, check in on the ones you care for.

What if I sound too desperate

Never too desperate to be here. There are many others going through the same things as you. Feel free to share your concerns. Many helpful peeps here in HU. The link I gave you, you’ll get responses from those in the same boat as you.

@RoxieDawn

Has your Uni arranged any lectures on the web.

Is there any way you can study at home.

Why do you not reach out to your friends in class, if you wait for others you may wait for ever.

Get set up with your pals and hopefully you can arrange studying at home together

Is your school closed or are you just personally missing classes from anxiety? I know all the schools around here are closed. I think they are going to figure out a way for seniors to still graduate..there are just too many to "hold" back. My only concern would be if you were already failing your subjects. Otherwise, I would try not to worry too much.

There is no reason why you should not study, the only difference being you are in a room where you do your work on your own. I do not know if a teacher will be available on Sype to be there to help you study. Have you any study books or programs on the computer you can interrogate. You could also phone people in your class they may be able to help although if you have their email addresses that may also help

Just because you are not at school does not mean you should waste your time and do nothing
