I have recently been put on sertraline 100mgs haven’t slept in nearly 3 days so doc tday prescribed quetipine 50 to start tnite was on mirtazapine for yrs but they made my anxiety worse had anyone been on these tablets still really panicky

Yes I was on mirtazapine , it helped with depression, appetite and sleep to some degree , anxiety was still daily. I’ve weaned off and trying a new Med. I had a dna test done to see what suits me as I’ve tried so many meds with some horrible side effects. I hope you get well soon XX

I recommend having the dna test done , I got my results today and mirtazapine I metabolise to quick , so either need 3 doses of 15mg a day or start a new Med which I will tonight. I can’t take SSRI meds like what you are on, i can’t sleep or eat on them. Quitepine I have tired but made me to do sedated. Setraline usually keeps people awake at first , and heightens anxiety for me , the day stick with it or see your doctor if you feel it’s not helping . I’ve been trying to find the right Med for nearly 3 years now. Today made a lot of sense and hopefully now I can be on the road to recovery. Bless you and hope you get well soon. 🙏

Are you under a pysciatrist?

If not I’d suggest one , gp doctors don’t really know the ins and outs of psychiatric meds. Hang in there hun, get the dna test done, speak to a pyscologist also. Are you in Australia?

I’m in England trying to stick with sertraline not to sure yet about quetipine feel bit sick on them tone honest only nite two for them it was the doc they pecribef them thanks for your support awful when can’t sleep x
