Hi I am new to this community but hope to get a better understanding of anxiety and depression having had issues with low mood, anxiety attacks and negitive thoughts. I would like to try to gain the knowledge to use coping stratigies as well as tools to recognise early warning signs and better equipped to deal with the situation.

Anxiety & Depression over many years
Hi Red,
I have been visiting this site over the past year. I find it helpful in that people are constantly asking for help, describing their situations and they often get tips and opinions from the readers. Seeing this every time I visit the site, keeps me looking for solutions, like it is drilling it into my head: THERE ARE STEPS YOU CAN TAKE THAT WILL HELP
I hope you find some good here!
I have been on here before as well as the mental health community and found them very helpful. I could help you a lot 'given time'.
Hi RED1224, I have ben on this forum a few years ago, and I have experienced ALL those symptoms you are talking about. I have a lot of knowledge in this field as well as being a fellow sufferer.
I suggest that you ask your doctor to refer you to a neurologist for those of us who have a brain injury , then if you or your wife request to see a neuropsychiatrist who could give you a more concrete diagnosis, and then refer you to a Psychotherapist or Psychologist in your local mental health team, so that you can receive CBT "GRADUATED "is much more recommended than flooding. I found that it helped with both anxiety and depression. I will give you two websites that you can visit.
anxietyuk.org and
ocdaction.org I am sure that they will help you.
