I have a shift every Tuesday and Thursday that causes so much anxiety but I do fine when I get to work. I have been practicing mindfulness, imagining things turning out fine and a lot of positive self talk. I still cannot convince myself that everything will be fine. I have proven to myself time and time again that I can handle what ever comes up but still every Tuesday and Thursday I wake up with anxiety and have it through out the day until I get to work at night.

At work
Are you doing something different on Tuesday and Thursday that is making this happen?
The good thing is it does go away when you get there and you are confident in your job skills.
Do you exercise? Mayb something before work might help?
Keep telling yourself you know you can do this once you get there. Try to quiet the anxiety.
So much had changed that I am having a hard time calming just to have my anxiety spike again so it has been a roller coaster ride lately. I do walk on the treadmill an hour a day.
Eagle12 I love that you are practicing positive self talk and mindfulness. I also have anxiety that really makes things difficult for me. I recently started back to school and I had to take off work the whole week before school started because I was just crippled by negative thoughts, I couldn’t seem to function well leading up to school starting. I pushed through and started school and I’m loving it now, but it was so hard getting to that point and pushing though the negative thoughts. I hope you can continue with the positive things you are doing. You are not alone.
I experience the same thing. I've tried breathing exercises, but they weren't much help. Lately, I've been dabbling in positive distractions. I'm exploring this forum as well as the positive feel good forums on reddit.
