I just started a new temporary job working part time doing light assembly and quality inspecting at a plastics shop and while I don't mind my job I'm constantly struggling with panic attacks and anxiety attacks. I don't just get them at work either. I get them at the gym, school, and even at home. My problem is though I'm afraid I'll lose my job due to my struggles. I actually like what I'm doing though I won't be there for long since I'm going back to my full time job working on a organic farm in a few months. I'm afraid to tell my employer about the situation cause not many people understand the significance of mental health disorders. I haven't missed anytime because of the attacks. I just go and tough it out but it's really hard. I do my best to try and calm myself but nothing works. I've had trouble holding jobs because of my issues before and I don't want to lose this job. Any advice?

If you have been able to hide your attacks - then I would continue doing so. You're right a lot of people dont understand mental health issues. If they find out - they will look at you differently.
You need to find an anchor when these attacks happen. Something to focus on other that the panic or anxiety that is at the forefront. So a goal, positive mantra, deep breathing, positive thoughts, special memory - anything that is going to make your mind think about something else. Maybe it could be a chain or bracelet that is always with you.
