Has anyone ever had an anti-depressant that took away ALL of the symptons of depression and anxiety for some time?

Any miracles out there?
I don't think an anti- depressant can do that. Part of what heals you is what you do to help yourself
hi welcome to you we are the creators of our own miracles medication just helps us on our way.
I was on citalopram, eating well, exercising, back with my wife and son and that was the happiest I remember in my life.
As the other responders noted, the meds helped but was not the sole reason for this period of bliss
no.... but mine does take the edge off the edgyness of my depression.
No, but I wish there were. Then maybe I wouldn't be going from sad to happy all the time. I could feel better and happier.
I have done so very well on Cymbalta 50 mg and a wonderful therapist, I am now happier than I have been in all my life. I go to bed happy and get up happy, I live by myself, nearest relative 3000 miles away. I have my dream home, two lovely cats, I am at peace. It takes a lot of work to get to where I am, and I do need med's to keep my sanity, I do volunteer work that gets me out and around people. There is never enough hours in a day for me, I am so busy. I have been on this med. since Sept and have come out of a serious 3 year battle with clinical depression and severe anxiety. So do not give up,finding the right med. is a chore, but well worth all the trying we have to do. I wish you well and good luck....Sending love & hugs.....Sprinkle 1.....
I have been on antidepressants for many many years and the only med that came close was Cymbalta and Klonopin combined. I am on Lexapro which makes me worse and I've tried everything so I'm going to ask for low dose Cymbalta again.
What do you take?
Good luck.

In my 20's, Luvox helped tremendously all by itself, but I gained 30 lbs with it. Paxil helped really well after that, but it will also cause you to gain weight. After being on antidepressants for over 20 years, nothing works well now. The medication takes the edge off, but the rest has to be me doing a lot of hard work.
