I wouldn't say addicting but if .25mg ain't working anymore , you sure are on your way to addiction meaning higher dosage and needing more and more. I was advised here by a few to take klonopin instead and oh boy what a relief. I dont need to keep taking it much like I did with xanax . And I felt good all day...

Try asking your doctor to switch to klonopin it's much better and no bad anxiety withdrawals .

Only side effect I got with klonopin was being realy tired In the morning but that's about it once i pushed myself to get up and get out the rest of the day is on point.

Good luck and your on a low dose of xanax so I wouldn't worry much but that's what happen to me went up from .25mg to .5mg and up.

Klonopin 👌 give it a shot

Keep your doctor in the loop. Let them help you by giving them as much info as you can gather.

I’ve taken alprazolam at different times. It comes down to how long you have been taking it and how often. So average times per week. What situations are you taking it and how is it not working like it use to. If you’re taking it 2 to 3 times a week you should be ok, I would definitely avoid daily use. And klonopin is just as addictive just has a longer half life.

Losing effect from your current dose is called medication tolerance. Addiction is slightly different in that you have behavioral and physical changes when you don’t have it. So much so that it affects your lifestyle. Are you taking it more often than before? Or you’re taking as normal amounts but not as effective? The issue with trying other benzo’s like klonopin is that they’re all working by the same mechanism, so you might need a doe bump anyway. But you should talk to your doctor and see what they think. Maybe consider a longerstanding medication instead of the short term benzo?
