I have been hanging on, hanging in, doing everything I can.
My friends and family are avoiding me nown because all I can talk about is negative, I've tried to get help, and its ridiculous, I went to a behavioral health care, 5 weeks ago, have been there 5 times, and literally still haven't gotten thru all the bureaucrat bs to actually get help.
What do o have to do??? The inpatient services dont offer anything unless you want to tell them your a danger to yourself.
Same thing with the ers .
This is just horrible, none understand s,
And I still believe something is wrong. It cant just be anxiety,

Have you tried writing down the negative stuff and then burning the pages? I get health bureaucracy can be maddening .... I live with wait times in the extreme.... have you got a GP to refer you specifically to someone or diagnose you in case it really is more than just anxiety? I have found that accomplishing 1 positive task/day a good way to change my frame of mind bcuz it allows me to be proud of what I accomplished instead of just focusing on negative stuff in front of me..... just a thought. The burning thing helps me cuz a) it forces me outside instead of inside the house which at times feels like a prison b) it allows me to distroy the negative feelings c) it provides me with a non judgey way of getting out whatever is driving me crazy which I do not have to worry about burdening others, sounding crazy etc to anyone. It frees me sometimes but more importantly it forces a change of scenery cuz fire pit is outside....
Hi and sorry that you are going through a tough time with no real help. I just want to let you know that it's not your fault that you are negative because its your mind that is making you that way. I am sure if you could be positive and sunny you would, I think that is what people on the outside of mental health do not get that people like us are not choosing this. Its not like we are faced with Pizza and Prune juice and we choose the Prune Juice (gross thinking of that combination is gross sorry) because we want to make other people frustrated at us. And for mental health patients as difficult as we can be many of us can see right through the BS of the treatment facilities because if we are anxious and sad or up and down or introverted etc. we still know that it should not take 5 phone calls, 5 visits, or 5 meetings with new doctors to be able to express what is wrong to someone and get some help. I hope you are able to get some answers if not hopefully us posters can help you pass the time!
Thank you, it is very difficult, and difficult for people who are close to us, they think we are choosing the prune juice... or can choose it, I'd happily take the prune juice, and get on with it.
Thanks to everyone who responds on here, it does help.
Tim, totally understand what you are saying. My suggestion is exercise exercise exercise! When I am just banging my head against anger depression and systemic BS, the best thing available to relieve my pain at zero cost is walking or jogging or running for instance. The bipedal motion actually resets our brain and releases endorphins to flush chemical toxins that might be blocking normal synapse connections for example. Many of our dysfunctions can be attributed to abnormal brain activity, which can be corrected through diet & exercise. Why do you think the big pharma industry rules the economy. My suggestion to you is to eff dem damn h8rs & take that pup of yours out into the great beyond, or set a goal to complete a marathon this spring. Intense physical activity can do wonders for the mind.
Don’t tell them your suicidal! Tell them racing thoughts only! I’ve been in psych hospitals since I was 22 I’m now 65! I know how to get action, through my many visits!
See if you can get a Mental Health professional to give you a MMPI test. It will lay out very clearly what you face as according to my Mental Health team if your honest it cannot be faked.
