Trying to move through lonely depression

I've gotten used to family being deceased and estranged for the most part. But lately the lonliness is pretty bad. I'm a bit agoraphobic too, so that doesn't help the isolation. Really been missing my mom who passed away also.

Thanks for listening.

Hope your holidays went well.

Happy New Year Lisha 11 I understand how you feel loneliness is a terrible thing and especially at this time of the year when we think about our loved ones who are no longer with us Lost my Mum 4 years ago and miss her so much each and every day.I am glad that Christmas is over and I have made a resolution I am going to join craft classes and other groups to get me out and stop me sitting around pondering about things I can’t change you try and look for somewhere you can spend a couple of hours a week and that will be a start to combat your loneliness,I hope it helps me sending you a big hug take care dear friend x

Thank you kindly. I'll check that out.

You mention those who have gone over in the past, your Mother the last one. You mention you are alienated regard family members. Do you have anyone who you can talk to regards this Loss. After a funeral, on occasions there will be a wake after the funeral where people attend and discuss the loss of that person, warts and all. This can help in the first instance to get you through the loss. However you need to be able to move on, we never get over the loss of someone we love, however if we talk to people who knew them that can help in coming to terms with some of the grief you are suffering from.

If you have no-one you can talk to you can ask your GP for a course of CBT.

There is however a site on here that deals with the loss. You can also go onto the site that deals with loss Cruise, they have a sight on the internet.

You mention Agoraphobia, you need to discuss that with your GP. There are treatments to help, CBT may help here as well.

Thank you!! There is no one at the moment. I didn't know about cruise or the part on here that deals with loss or cbt. I'll check it out. I really appreciate your response. It helps more than you know.

Take care

I looked up Cruise and couldn't find anything related to grief.

Cruse is a Bereavement Charity in the UK you will get the site in the UK although I would imagine there will be Bereavement Organisations in the USA.

I checked above when I read your contribution, my fault I got my spelling mixed up
