If anyone saw my previous post about Ssri and weigh gain,so I’ve decided to go in citalopram, some say it’s not bad as some for weight gain but we’ll see.
Now I’m on I remember other reasons why I found Siri’s difficult, these are insomnia and anxiety. I always had problems sleeping and anxiety and I know all the sleep hygiene rules and meditation etc etc that can help with that, but this is a different feeling, it reminds me of like come down from amphetimines or mdma (not that I have done these for over a decade and I am not condoning them in anyway but it’s the only way I can describe it), it’s jittery, chemical anxiety, I have thoughts that are not whole (like beginnings of thoughts, like a bit dreamlike) and my mind can’t focus very well, my heart rate is elevated and my body feels really dried out. I’ve only just started taking and I just wondered if this will go away in its own, if I should try taking meds at a certain time, or maybe some other advice on calming down from this very jittery feeling.
Thank you for your advice and guidance.

I have been on this medication for over twenty years and I feel ok on them
Allow five weeks for the drug to work.
I have put on a large amount of weight and I cannot get rid of it, however I take Opiates and NSID medications for joint pain so in my case it could be either or both.
Some medications cause problems especially if your condition is preventing you taking your health routines like exercise. Sometimes people can loose an interest in what they enjoyed in the past. Diversions do help like Swimming and Sport to take your mind of your worries. I used to love swimming thirty five lengths three times a week although now I cannot swim in the Baths because of water/ clorine. it burns my skin
