Welbutrin and Lexapro anyone?

Hi. I’ve been on 10 mg Lexapro for 8 months and it has done wonders for my GAD. However I’ve put on some weight and I am super lacking in energy. Sleeping lots and hard to get out of bed. I don’t want to stop the lexapro but was thinking perhaps adding something else for the tiredness and weight. Anyone had positive results from adding welbutrin? Really appreciate feedback. 😊

I feel similar to you on antidepressants. However the one I take, Venlafaxine or Effexor has worked miracles for my GAD.

Having read about Wellbutrin I would be quite wary of taking it incase it destabilised me.

However if you are brave enough to try it do let me know how you get on, particularly with the weight loss. I have heard it can increase anxiety and can cause a dry mouth and sweating so you could be changing one lot of side effects for another.

I’m having a conversation with my doctor on Friday. I’ll let you know when I get his advice. I’ve gone up a dress size since May. I don’t think I’m eating more but I’m definitely less energetic and sleeping at any opportunity so probably that!

For my GAD I find that Xanax is my drug of choice. Ongoing for about four decades or so. Have tried many of the same pills you have with no discernible results except weight gain. So I ditched those and stick with Xanax. Even 40 years ago they were pushing the same damn head meds that do nothing but turn you into a bloated zombie. Still? Where's the ketamine therapy we've heard about?
