Started Lexapro - anyone have positive experience?

I started Lexapro 10mg about two weeks ago for anxiety and depression. Has anyone used or is currently using it? How long until effects are felt? I’ve been on it years ago but don’t remember how long it took to start working. Clearly it did at some point because I was able to get off it until this latest bout.

Anyway, any positive stories about how it’s helped?

It worked great for me until I experienced a side effect. My body is sensitive to meds like this. It took effect within a week for me. And if I didn’t have that side effect I would still be taking it. Hope it works out good for you.

Hi Cory. Took about 3 weeks to start working for me. Side effects pretty rotten for that period, but good now.

I'm on it now and I was on it years ago. I find it to be one of the better SSRI's. I don't have as much fatigue with it as I do with something like prozac. For me it helps mostly my ocd. Give it a chance...SSRI's take a while to get in and out of your system. Good luck!
