Started Zoloft a week ago. I'm slow with everything i do, I don't have an appetite, I'm disoriented, confused, when I talk I get two words in before I forget where I was going with it. I also have had maybe a total of ten glasses of water in the last month (along with not eating except for maybe an egg every morning) so I might be dehydrated. It feels like my heart hurts every once in a while. I don't know if it's the medication change or dehydration. Going to get an iv today to cancel out dehydration. Any advice? Similar stories?

Well starving yourself and not drinking is a sure way to feel awful and if you keep this up you will die. It sounds like you have an eating disorder so see your doctor urgently and seek immediate help. Think of your body like a car. What happens if you don't put petrol in? It won't go and will seize up for good. x

Ugh I wish I could eat and drink. Food smells so good and I try to eat it and just can't. I feel nauseous if I try :/ I've talked to my doctor about it and she just keeps telling me to try broth or crackers (pretty much what they tell you to when you have the flu) so that doesn't help. Trust me I'm all about "my body is a temple" and I love taking care of it. Not eating is killing me. Literally.

Well go back to your doctor and tell her as you can't go on like this. Tell her what you have told us and that you have an eating disorder and insist she refers you for urgent help. If she refuses then see another doctor. x

Did they start you on a low dose, like 25 mg? When I started Zoloft, they had me take 25 mg for a week then bumped it to 50 mg. They warned me I might have nausea and I did but it didnt last long.

My heart has been behaving. This whole process has been harder mentally but Im hanging in there! Thanks for asking💜. How are ypu?

A week is still early. I struggled with weight loss and loss of appetite my first couple of weeks. But you have to keep drinking water. Force yourself! Once you continue drinking it heavily, you will find yourself drinking it without force. I was the same way. Keep riding it out and you will feel better

Also if you drink a cup of milk or chocolate milk it will coat your stomach or even protein shakes
