I’m on my 3rd depression (1st at 20, second at 25, now at 40), I think brought on my the death of my father and work issues but now grown beyond that. Some people around me are telling me I seem to be improving on Cymbalta, but I don really see/feel it. Has anyone had the experience of improving before you saw it in yourself? I have little kids and so badly want to believe I’ll be my old (non-depressed) self soon. I was really a good time...I’m really not right now, particularly to myself.

It's true Ready, that others including your doctor will see subtle changes
in you before you do. That's because we are not sure what to expect and
so think it is going to be a complete change around.. Give it time and one
day, you too, will know that you are once again going forward. xx
I can completely relate to you! I've been suffering with anxiety & depression since I was 13 years old. I was abused as a child & that set me up to have these issues. I've been struggling all my life! I've been in abusive unloving relationships & I felt so alone most of the time. I'm now 40 years old & now I'm feeling I'm at a midlife crisis! It just keeps going on! So I can completely relate to you! If you need someone to talk to I'm here for you.
It's not uncommon to be the last to know or see the changes. I think it might be because we are cautious about being too optimistic and then being disappointed. Keep moving forward and trust what others are telling you.
