Music is a huge lift ( shut off tv). Music can make you feel like nothing else. Share you thoughts. Favorite songs, artist or artists. Its hard because of so many styles. Nature even has music and rythems. So what are your thoughts?

I agree, thanks, music is almost always inspiring. So many different tastes and options out there, so it's hard to recommend.
I recently watched Ken Burns' series on Jazz and now Country Music. Wouldn't call myself a big fan of either genre (other than Bluegrass), but so many inspiring artists and interesting stories.
Speaking of inspiration, how about Linda Ronstadt? The world has lost her voice (to Parkinson's) but she is carrying on her life bravely and her recent movie is excellent plus her diverse recordings are as angelic as ever.
For some peaceful instrumental music, I recently discovered Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert. (Incredible story behind that recording -- Google it!)
She was a fantastic artist. Then have what became the eagles from her back up. There is so much with music that it becomes such a wow factor. Not so much about the drama, but the writing and music itself. Sorry rambling on. I love music very much.
Oh man I dig me some tunes....get my groove on....sadly we can't post any songs now...hhhmmm...some of my fav's...Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Ozzy, Carole King, ZZTOP, Jethro Tull, Neil Young, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Alicia Keys ..oh I could go on and on...you get my drift, ha! I'd be lost without it!
May you have some sparkle in your day!
Dump trucks of groovy love, peace, light, joy and hugs for you!

May you have some sparkle!

Music definitely affects my mood depending on what I am listening to. I often turn the TV to one of the Music Choice channels and listen to whatever I'm in the mood for. Lots of different categories. Since my husband has set up the TV in surround sound with far too many speakers in the living room and dining room I can hear the music as I do things around the house.
Thats ok. Turn up the sound and have fun. No matttef what you think or believe music touches your very soul and moves it.
I agree music can help when nothing else does. I have widely varying tastes from classical to Christopher Tin and the Gypsy Kings. Each one speaks to some aspect of me. In a world of bad news music is a bright light.
Music touches where nothing else can.
