My step dad read an article that said coffee helped with depression and insisted for me to try it and when I had a small cup yesterday it started making me feel weird. Now these anxious feelings are coming back. I’m getting hot flashes & I hate it. Any suggestions? I have been taking 10mg of Lexapro & 50mg of Hydroxyzine when needed & it’s still not helping.

Honestly caffeine makes me jittery and more anxious which leads to depression. I’d be interested to read that article because at least with me it’s the exact opposite. I guess remember that each person is different. You tried it and it didn’t work. That’s okay and now you know it doesn’t work for you.

You must be the exception to the rule and coffee does not suit you. It would be out of your system by this time so don't have anymore. There won't be any long term effect so you can relax .
