Change your diet and increase your exercise?

Have you put on weight or had a change in appetite with this med?

What does the md say? They still want you on it?

Thank you for your reply, yes I put on weight, but changing a diet didn't help. Md say that it is the case to take another drugs, for liver, but I don't agree with it, because my liver is ill from remeron

What do you mean your liver is ill? By blood work?

So he's thinking a cholesterol med?

It's such a struggle isn't it.

Yes, the doctor want to give me pills against cholesterol , but I don't want to take it. I want to stop remeron, this is the cause of high cholesterol

I had to push my dr to come off the med that caused my weight gain. She's an awesome Dr. I know she wants what's best for me.

But, I told her that whole situation was making me depressed. She agreed reluctantly. I did go down hill a bit. I had to start something else but my weight was back down.

Now with this one it's creeping back up. Will see what I weigh when I go in next week.

I was put on a statin for my cholesterol.

I understand completely what you are saying.

I also have high Cholesterol levels and I can say Crestor 40 mg (Generic) has lowered mine very well and is the only medicine that has done the job. My cholesterol was similar to your highs and on Crestor has almost cut it in half. Best of luck

Thank you for your replay, this is what I want to avoid, taking a lot of pills. The only solution that I see is to stop remeron, but my doctor doesn't agree

I stopped Mirtapazine and Gabapentin because my LDL went from 121 to 131 from July to November 2019 while taking these medications. Before taking these medications my LDL was always lower than 99 in the normal range. My HDL is fine and my Cholesterol is 214 which in the past was 160 always within the range. I feel that the medications changed my levels.. so I stopped them immediately.
