Experience with clonodine?

My psychiatric NP suggested I take clonodine before bedtime, which is supposed to let me sleep through the night, without waking in the middle of the night with anxiety. I’d never heard of it, wondering if anyone here has used it. She said it lowers blood pressure, and that sort of freaked me out, even though she seemed very positive and confident that it would help.

I’m on 100mg of Zoloft daily, which is helping me pretty much all day. We just upped the dosage, so I’m also waiting a couple weeks to take any additional drugs until I’ve adjusted to the new amount. At 75mg, I was waking at 2 or 3am with my heart pounding , and felt anxious until I took the next dose.

Interested to hear anyone’s experience with clonodine.
