I'm on the last step to get bariatric surgery. .. and doubting myself.

I had the sleeve gastrectomy 3 years ago. Best decision I’ve made for my physical health. I don’t regret it.

It’s not a silver bullet though. You have to change your eating and exercise habits; Or else you could regain some of the weight. I struggle with emotional eating and grazing. I recommend you start seeing a therapist who specializes in eating disorders. There is a spectrum of eating disorders and everybody is different. My opinion is that if we have to get 80% of an organ cut out and/or our intestines rerouted then we definitely have to address something emotional that is driving us to go to these extremes.
