Low tide but she continues to drown

Undertow memories over shipwrecked time

Once hopeful eyes, now salty by tears not the sea

Scavengers don't bother, there's nothing much left

She never found a knife sharp enough to cut that part of her

His carelessness, it dulled every blade

The wind skitters grains through shells

As useless to their former tenant as the heart now is for her

Clutch the collar closer, there may be something still inside to keep warm

Turn West. Or don't. It's the same outcome

Dying light over eternal waves and a short walk back

Trace your own footprints in the sand that no one bothered to follow

The ocean romance isn't here, another land. A different sea

It's the same outcome. She takes herself everywhere she goes.

I disagree. They are words and special to your own memories but the way you create and provoke meaning for others to ponder is what is special. Getting people to feel when they are numb is special.

I like it ! There are certain turns of phrase you use that are interesting to me. Where ever you get the words doesn't matter once you combine them in your own way they become yours.. Do not insult me by telling me my judgement is off. It is not. You do have a talent. Thank you for sharing it. Pam
