Help with depression anxiety

Does anyone have a good anxiety/depression med to try. I've been on Lexapro for years and I feel it's not working as well

Sometimes being on the same medicine for a long time can make your body immune to it, and it will no longer work good for you. I am taking Cymbalta and I really like it. Maybe you can discuss it with your Dr. the next time you go see them.

I just hate starting new ones because I don't want it to make me feel groggy or wierd if that makes sense. Did you have any side effects with that one

Ya know that's a tough one as everyone reacts differently...I'm on celexa 40mg. and when my anxiety goes through the roof once in a while I take a klonopin, don't really like to take them but when push comes to shove...well I'll shove one down my throat...maybe one every 3-4 weeks....

I find positive thinking and reinforcing it into my mind is also very helpful, only good side effects from that!

Maybe you should have a talk with your Doctor and let him know it's not working for you....great place to start....

Lexotan used to help with the anxiety & insomnia but when I started having panic attacks every morning with this last episode of IBS by G.I. specialist put me on Dogmatil and Rivotril and these two takes the edge off of both the anxiety and the depression, so I can function. He prescribed Dogmatil 50 mg in the morning and at night with 1/4 tablet of Rivotril but I only take the night dose because I find when I take too much Dogmatil my hip begins to feel stiff and hurt.

I didn't have any crazy side effects when i started my cymbalta. I actually don't remember having any side effects when I started it. Nothing like I did with any of the other stuff I took.
