Feel like I can’t breathe properly my head is light my chest is heavy I feel like I can’t move what’s happening to me

Better thank you😊 for asking I don’t really know why this happens I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety and health anxiety disorder for a long time now but I still don’t know what to do? Or how to prevent this?

It sounds like a panic attack. Stay sitting down and concentrate on breathing slowly and steadily. Don't over breathe or take small quick breaths as you will hyperventilate. It is frightening but it won't harm you and it will pass. x

Thank you for your reply it didn’t turn into a full blown one of kind of went off after around half an hour I’m just confused about why this happens randomly

It's common if you suffer from anxiety, and they often happen randomly. Getting to the bottom of your issues through counselling can be a good idea.

You can also learn tools to cope with it such as googling things like breathing exercises. Mindfulness, which teaches you to live in the present, can also help. x

IIRC, you suffer from pretty heavy anxiety. What tools do you use to cope? They'll help you here as well.

With the caveat of a) I'm not that kind of doctor and b) I don't know anything about your current situation, as hypercat said this sounds like a panic attack. The bad news is that you feel like you're going to die. The good news is that there's nothing physically wrong.
