Hi nervouskellz, have you talked with your doctor regarding the medication

you are on? It's one of the older drugs used for depression. Depending how long

you have been on it, it would be best to discuss and re-access the drug of choice

that could help with your panic attacks. It's a matter of the doctor finding the

right drug as well as the right dose that will work for you.

Don't suffer needlessly but also don't stop the meds on your own. It's not

unusual for a patient to have to go through trial and error before finding the

right med. Good Luck. xx

Agora1's post is right. You still have lots of options and ways forward with this 👍 I went through a few different meds and now I'm on fluoxitine. There are also lots of treatments that don't involve meds. I know this sounds nuts but I try to label my anxiety as excitement. If you think about it, the physical sensations and response are the same for fear/panic as they are for excitement. Crazy right??? But so true! ❤️ The only difference is the label. Excitement is acceptable, and maybe you can get comfortable with the panic. It may take some time and it definitely takes a lot of work but you can do it XXX also, when you feel the panic starting, ask yourself what is ACTUALLY happening. Answer yourself too inside your own head. X

Michday1 you are absolutely right in that the body responds the same for fear/panic as it

does for excitement. Finding other methods besides medication is important in order to

have control with our over sensitized nervous system. I respect the responses you give.

I see the work you have put into this for yourself. Thank you for sharing. :) xx

A low dose of Clonazepam is what I'm on, but it helps to be able to talk to people and reality check about your fears. If you can talk to someone who can help you to dismiss your fears, that's a lot of help. If you can find a friend willing to hug, that helps.

Hi. I have epilepsy. What you have and what I have are different but I connected with you because of me having something that is uncontrollable at times. My seizures are sometimes not well controlled. There are times when one can break through the medicine I am on and I will end up having a seizure. If that is the case then the medicine will be adjusted by my doctor. The goal obviously is to stop seizures for me. I mention this to you because of your panic attacks needing to be stopped. There are times when a medication will run its' effectiveness while you are on it. If that is the case then another medicine...or a different dosage will be tried by your doctor for you. See how this stuff will work for you and I hope you will be alright.
