Hi all. Let me introduce myself, I’m an almost 40 single mom to a teenage girl, with a college education, decent job, a nice home, family around, a dog, and I am currently in active depression. I also have been diagnosed with anxiety, complex ptsd, and being a child of a narcissistic mother. I have suffered from depression for many many many years. It started as a teen. Well I started treatment (talk Therapy and medication) at 13. I have been depressed since my memories began. I currently take medication daily, it’s been a few months again, as most of us know, we tend to think we are better, so we stop. I also see a therapist weekly. She is helping me. I am growing and changing, however, I have taken a dip lately and my same olé coping skills aren’t quite doing it, so I’m here. I’m looking for others that may have similarities with past or current issues. I don’t want to feel alone anymore. I get tired of feeling like I’m on the outside looking in.

You're not alone Librarylibra. Sounds like you're doing all the right things. When we finally feel the breaking of the dawn, we want to fly solo. Sometimes sooner than were able. Just start over where you left off and find your happy place again.

Hi you're not alone, my name is martyn and I have anxiety depression and schizophrenia, if you have long term depression I recommend not stopping meds, I've been on meds for 20 years and I've learned that I will always have to take them. The alternative to meds is a very confusing life that I don't want to go back to, I have 3 children and I don't want to change what I currently have. Stay safe and talk to someone who understands or if you don't want to talk, write your experiences down as it helps to process the day. Good luck

Hi there, I am so sorry you are going thru so much, stress depletes magnesium in us and it is most needed in stress so I'd recommend taking it daily. Magnesium malate is best absorbed by body. Also, ginseng is great for getting rid of those sticky negative thoughts that loop around and around. I take them in the evenings when I need them most. Also, taking B complex every morning is great for energy and focus, to get you going to work and do better there. Best to you, my dear. You are strong and times will get better. Hang in there! It is important to take what helps us, keep on keeping on, don't quit. <3 Find a support group that meets in person or a meetup that is in your interest, so you meet like minded people and don't feel on the outside anymore.
