FOR PANIC ATTACKS: CARRY EMERGENCY DARK CHOCOLATE

By consuming dark chocolate with 85 percent or more cocoa content, you’ll enjoy an infusion of magnesium in your system. Magnesium has a profound calming effect and chocolate is one of the best sources of this miracle mineral.

Besides containing magnesium in significant amounts, dark chocolate also contains theobromine, which also helps better your mood, and tryptophan, which is an amino acid that is a precursor to the hormone serotonin.

Did this work for you? Everybody is different.

Never tried it, but it sounds like a delicious experiment. Makes sense as dark chocolate in moderation does have health benefits. Thanks for sharing this.

Keep us updated. I ate one bar so far. Don't think it did anything. Magnesium supplements are for home use and are highly recommended by Mayo Clinic and other places.

Try both. Chocolate bars and supps.

How much dark chocolate to eat varies from person to person.

What would be the average amount for starting out?

Anyone eating some chocolates? Would you recommend it? Does it work to calm the anxiety monster?

Dark Chocolate may be good for Panic Attacks but in my case

my heart would go crazy due to the amount of caffeine it has

in it. I guess it's about weighing the pros and cons.

Thanks for sharing, I'm sure many can benefit from a delicious treat. xx

Thanks for pointing out that caffeine is in chocolate. That would raise the anxiety instead of calming it down.

Weird!

So what's the next helpful suggestion someone can share with us?

This works for me. Unfortunately I’m allergic to chocolate so I have to have the type with more fat. It DOES give me some type of feel good boost.

Perhaps for those who wrote about being allergic to chocolate, Magnesium might be a better route. Check the internet.

Magnesium has a lot of benefits. Unfortunately I couldn't tolerate it and am afraid of aggravating the anxiety eating chocolate.

Oh my, life can get complicated.
